Common Questions About Our Belmont Dental Office

Quick answers about new-patient visits, insurance, sedation, and what to expect at Carlmont Dental Care.

Who is the dentist at Carlmont Dental Care?+

Carlmont Dental Care has three lead doctors at its Belmont, CA office: Dr. Nancy Jiang (cosmetic and general dentist, English and Mandarin-speaking), Dr. Trung Nguyen (periodontist, gum disease and LANAP specialist), and Dr. Shun Chien (implant specialist, single implants and All-on-4/All-on-6). Full bios are on our Meet the Team page.

What dental services do you offer in Belmont?+

Carlmont Dental Care offers general dentistry (exams, cleanings, fillings, dental crowns, bridges), cosmetic dentistry (Invisalign, porcelain veneers, professional whitening, smile design), periodontics (LANAP laser gum treatment, gum grafts, deep cleanings), implant dentistry (single tooth implants, All-on-4, All-on-6, bone grafts), TMJ and jaw pain treatment, and emergency dental care for tooth pain, broken teeth, and trauma — all at our Belmont, CA office.

Do you offer same-day emergency dental visits?+

Yes. Carlmont Dental Care reserves time each weekday for urgent dental appointments — severe tooth pain, broken or cracked teeth, lost crowns or fillings, swelling, infection, and dental trauma. Call (650) 591-1984 as early in the day as possible to maximize same-day availability. We have dedicated emergency-dentist pages for Belmont, San Carlos, and Redwood City.

Are you accepting new patients in Belmont, CA?+

Yes. Carlmont Dental Care welcomes new patients from Belmont, San Carlos, San Mateo, Redwood City, Redwood Shores, Foster City, Menlo Park, Hillsborough, Atherton, and Half Moon Bay. New-patient visits include a comprehensive exam, digital X-rays, oral-cancer screening, and a clear treatment plan. Call (650) 591-1984 or book online.

What dental insurance plans do you accept?+

We accept most PPO plans, including Delta Dental PPO, Aetna, MetLife, Cigna, Guardian, Ameritas, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Principal, Sun Life, Humana, United Concordia, and GEHA. We do not contract with HMO or DMO plans. For uninsured patients we offer in-house membership plans starting at $30 per month.

Do you offer sedation or anxiety-free options?+

Yes — nitrous oxide and oral anxiolysis are available in-office for routine procedures, and we coordinate referral for deeper IV sedation when a case warrants it. Tell us about your dental anxiety when you schedule and we will plan a calmer visit: slower pacing, clear step-by-step explanations, and the right comfort option for your case. Availability of specific options depends on medical history, procedure type, and California sedation regulations.

Where are you located and what are your hours?+

Carlmont Dental Care is at 2100 Carlmont Drive, Suite 8, Belmont, CA 94002, just off Alameda de las Pulgas. We are open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Free parking is available on site.

Do you speak Mandarin or Spanish?+

Yes. Dr. Nancy Jiang and members of our team speak Mandarin, and Spanish-speaking team members are also on staff. Tell us at booking and we will pair you with the right team for your visit.

Do you offer financing for larger treatment plans?+

Yes. We offer 0% APR financing through CareCredit and Proceed Finance, typically up to 24 months interest-free or up to 7 years at a reduced rate. Our team verifies eligibility before treatment so you know the monthly figure before committing.

What is the best way to know what treatment I actually need?+

Start with a comprehensive new-patient exam. It includes digital X-rays, intraoral photos, periodontal screening, and a one-on-one conversation about your goals. You leave with a written plan that lists what is necessary now, what can wait, and what is purely cosmetic — no pressure, no surprises.
